The Intolerable Acts - 1767
There were several political maneuvers meant to subdue Massachusetts (the Bay Colony). The list includes: the Boston Port Bill, Administration of Justice Act, Massachusetts Government Act, The Quartering Act, and the Quebec Act. (Independence Hall Association, 2012) These laws created public sympathy especially for Boston and resulted in unity for resistance and rebellion. (McDowell, 1967)
